Dedicated to the memory of Ken

This page is in memory of Ken, a much-loved Husband, Dad, Grandad, Great-Grandad and friend.

Ken lived a happy and full life, thanks to the friends and family around him. As you will know, he was a kind, caring and loving person with a great sense of humour. He has given a lot to the Blackmore community over the years, he had a successful cricketing and umpiring career in and around Essex, as well as, being a devoted family man and hard worker through his jobs in the army and as a chief engineer at Havering Council. He will certainly be missed by many.

In memory of Ken, we are asking for donations to the Essex and Herts Air Ambulance. As many of you will know, in 1999, Ken had a very severe heart attack and if it wasn’t for the air ambulance he wouldn’t have had a further 25 years of life together with us all, living to just two weeks shy of his 90th Birthday. Ken became one of the earliest surviving patients that they had ever treated and he was very proud of this. In recent years, he has been part of the air ambulances’ 25th Birthday celebrations and even featured on the radio! As a family, we give thanks to all of the work they do to provide vital, lifesaving treatment to others, and because they are a charity, this is all funded by the public.

If you are able to and would like to make a donation in memory of Ken, we know that this would be gratefully received and that Ken would be very pleased that we are supporting them during this sad time.
